Although the Phantom tonearm has now replaced the earlier 1.x and 2.x series arms, and offers significantly improved performance, we will continue to provide service and parts for these older designs. In some cases needed parts may be in limited supply, but rest assured we will always support our products.
For you, the customer, the best solution - besides upgrading to the Phantom itself - is careful and proper handling of your tonearm so that repair isn't necessary. All Graham Engineering tonearms have been designed for many, many years of trouble-free performance. This only requires a safe environment, both during use and when the system is not playing, and the obvious: careful handling in use befitting the precision instrument that is your tonearm, and with absolutely NO tampering with the parts to "improve" something. With these simple guidelines, all Graham tonearm should last indefinitely.
